CARBONARA

Just a handful of ingredients makes a perfect Carbonara. 
This cheesy pasta dish is an Italian favourite.


Ingredients:

Bacon (cut in cubes)
2 Elmlea Double Cream (284 ml.)
2 Grated Parmesan Cheese (200g)
Pasta (Spaghetti or Tagliatelle)
Mushroom (optional)
3 Eggs
Garlic

Method:

Put the eggs into a bowl, add the Parmesan (about 3 tbsp.) and the 2 double cream. Season with pepper. Then mix well with a fork and put to one side.

Cook the spaghetti in a large pan of boiling salted water until al dente.

Saute garlic in butter/olive oil. Add the bacon and mushroom. Season with pepper.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Then add the cooked pasta and pour the egg & cream mixture.
The pan will help to cook the egg gently.

Serve with a grating of Parmesan and an extra twist of pepper.
