BARCELONA

Barcelona, the capital of Spain's Catalonia region, a city famous for its architecture, food and vibrant culture as well as its landscape and coastline. The fantastical Sagrada Familia church and other modernist landmarks
designed by Antoni Gaudi dot the city.

THE BEST THINGS WE DID IN BARCELONA:

✔ Got inspired by the stunning Sagrada Familia Basilica.

Amazingly beautiful, sunlight glistens on the pinnacles of the towers and windows.

Got To Grips With Gaudi.
It's almost impossible to travel in Barcelona without encountering the works of Gaudi.
Seven world heritage sites mark the most important of his creations.
Park Guell, Casa Batllo Casa Mila (La Pedrera) and La Sagrada Familia.
The Park Guell was intended to provide attractive housing for the upper classes, based on the English 'garden cities'.

✔ Enjoyed a bird's eye views of the entire city at Teleferic de Montjuic, with panoramas over the city's most emblematic landmarks. It's one of the best ways to see Barcelona from up high!

Headed up Montjuic Castle.

Discovered a wonderful overview of Catalan Art from the 10th Century to the present day at MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya).

Visited the Gothic Cathedral.

✔ Experienced an open-topped tourist bus (Bus Turistic)

Explored The Gothic Quarter.
We wandered through the narrow streets and squares of the Roman and Medieval heart of Barcelona.

✔ Rambled Along La Rambla.
One of Barcelona's most famous (and busiest!) streets, La Rambla is a pedestrian tree lined avenue filled with shops and restaurants. We have tasted the best Paella in here!

Ate, Ate and Ate!
Of course we didn't miss Barcelona's best traditional dishes. We had the best Paella, tapas and Sangria that made Gio drunk.

These are just some of the inspirations and ideas to make the most of your trip.
